In my house I have had a few occasions where I felt something present.. not in a threatening.. or even scary way.. just something

One night I was laying in bed watching some T.V. with the lights off and I was just starting to doze off when I felt something like weight being put on the side of my bed. like if someone had just sat down on it

I opened my eyes right away and I saw a black / gray matter in the form a face looking at me, with a form of sorts behind it. At the level of my head on the pillow about 12 inches from my face. It quickly pulled back and in a instant and disappeared. I could not what gender.. but it was a face.

The T.V was on the other side of the room and there was no other lights on. I got up stood there for a moment, looked around, then turned the light on... nothing

But is was not scary. it should have been, but wasn't. I didn't feel threatened. I never saw it again, but still have the " feeling" at times in the house

Yes, and it's your home, spirits shouldn't 'reside' there anymore. You have the right to live there on your own, spirit-free, apart from whiskey maybe, lol.

The first bit, the cleansing, I made a mistake: you open the window in a room when you are there to extinguish the candle.

The Spiritual Lock:
If you want to put a spiritual lock on your home, you go through your house in a clockwise fashion again, also clockwise through each room (move from corner to corner as you do with the smudging).
It is now important to fill each room of your home with your energy. It helps if you visualize your energy as a colour. Let's say your colour and energy is yellow. Than you let yellow seep into the walls, floors, ceilings etc. That way your energy will fill the entire place and will leave no space for anything else, which is what you want. Plus, it's like claiming the house, and other energy forms will sense this, feel/see/sense the place is vacated by you and your energy. Not a place to squat. Hope you get what I mean...
If you're not sure about your colour, use orange. This colour will protect you regardless.

Best would be to go through your home with a white candle. You now have to affirm in each corner: "This is my home and nothing or no one that I haven't invited and/or doesn't serve my Highest good can come in here. Only I (your name) can break this spiritual lock." (include room mates if you got them).

After this it would be good to go through your house the same way, and now without affirming, stand in each room and space and let the colour green fill the entire room, go into walls, ceilings, floors etc. It will help push the orange further into the house.
If you don't want to do this, as doing this all will likely take up a few hours) do it in your bedroom. Green is a calming soothing colour and will help you relax, which is what you need in your bedroom.

If you are going to do this all, make sure you feel good. Don't do it when you're wobbly, for instance when you're ill or stressed out.
And do it when you got time. I got a 3 bedroom house, it took me almost an entire afternoon to do the cleansing (including letting the candles burn for an hour). And it's best to do the spiritual lock after the cleansing, as then the house is clean.

I occasionally do the cleansing only or cleanse just the living room when I feel it's necessary. When you've done the thorough cleansing of your entire home, you usually won't need to do it again, you can then suffice with cleansing just the one room. I sometimes do affirm the spiritual lock, just to give it a boost.

You're welcome.
And yes, these things do happen. It's not just something from the movies ...
Unfortunately most ppl still think you're nuts when you tell them about it. Thank god more and more ppl are becoming increasingly aware of and sensitive to these things, esp younger generations.

My brother moved into an old farmhouse with his family.
For our own amusement myself and a nephew told everyone we had seen ghosts.
We each had our own independent sightings and story♦.
We kept swearing it was true.

Now every time I visit everyone has these really detailed "ghost" encounters they are all serious about.
My nephew and I go outside and just laugh hysterically.
But maybe the jokes on me, maybe my nephew told them to do it.

My mom likes to believe she has an affinity for feeling ghosts.
Pretty much everywhere we go she gets an "odd" feeling.
Although sometimes she gets an "odd" feeling so she can just stand there and concentrate into the distance while pushing a fart out.

I've never felt nor seen anything, except the occasional raunchy smell.

Creeps into the room .. Sees orbs and dives back under the cover . .

Have seen lots of people die but have never seen a spirit .. Throws salt over my shoulder . We bless the rooms at the hospital when a death occurs but it is more a ritual than a reality. A psyhcic once told me I am surrounded by spirits drawn to me but they mean me no harm .. That kinda creeped me out . Spiritual voyeurs :-)

I told you something like that as well in the paranormal forums, can't remember exactly what... too tired, very late here ..
But it would make sense that you are protected, otherwise you couldn't do your job no more, and what you do is a calling

I live in my great grandads house who passed on recently. I was never close to him at all as he was a very stubborn man. When i was about 14 and living here while he was in a sheltered housing complex i used to sneak out at night to meet friends etc and one night in particular i had crossed into the hall to leave via the back door and what looked like a lady, quite old but very comforting looking was standing at my mums door. When speaking to my mum about it she had then said that she often feels like someone will pull up the covers at night if she is cold. My nephews have mentioned her a few times. But when i spoke to my grandad about this he told me that it could be my great gran as the back room was her livingroom as she was deaf and needed subtitles which caused friction in the main livingroom. Anyway recently we were cleaning out a cupboard that hasnt been touched as it is covered with spiders (arachnophobe) and inside was a ceder box with my grans name on it, the cupboard lies just next to my mums room. I never believed before this.
