Newbie anxiety...

I hope you want the straight truth of it. I've been doing the online dating thing for 8 years on and off. I've learned a few things.

(1) Get a tough skin. You will, for the most part, be ignored. It's just the nature of the beast. Don't get upset when a stranger on the internet ignores you. Just move on to the next one. Don't wait for the ladies to come to you. For the most part, they won't.

(2) Get at least one profile picture. You will see a good many on here with "Cartoonish" profile pictures. But most of those are already married. So, If you want to come even close to the ball field, Get a good profile picture.

(3) Hang around the forums in your part of the world. It will help. Get in on the conversation. That way potential dates will get a feel for you. If you understand my meaning.
