Out There in The Long Mist

A medieval prince holds the hand of his princess there along the shore on the other side of morning,
Their two horses tied to a tree, nostrils snorting steam, appear restless inside the brisk earthen chill,

Flights of fancy, the sweeping mists - a lovers embrace in masked darkness, silhouettes adorning,
Shaken by momentary hints of love's ancient wings unfolding - testing their temperance of will,

In the radiance of love's holy chapel, met in defiance, and in the cool issuance of their own emotion,
They hold one another near, tied closely in the wealth of the sharing of true love's momentus bliss,

And as the early morning sun breaks horizon, and, as the foam rolls in along the shore of the ocean,
They promise one another to never part, sharing words of love - sealing them together with a kiss,

( . . . No more princely crusades nor the unearthly tearing apart of two crying hearts, nor more divisions left out there in the long mist. Nothing left remaining in feathered night meant to force two lovers apart. Nothing more for the prince and his princess to do but to exchange a kiss. )

It is here at my writers desk, my friends, nearest the fire I can often be found lazily pondering the many pros which help me to illuminate night. Rest well and be safe.

That is a deeply philosophical piece that embodies love and lust in their infancy; a beginning, but at the same time an ending.

Really enjoyed it! Thank you always!

very nice write ... flowers

What I think is amazing ... is their really are Kings Queens & Princes and Princesses... in this era an the past ... we can watch all of the older and new movies and think that this is so far in the distance past but really not that far away at all ... and they exist ... kinda like the first time we found out earth is hanging in the balance of our universe .. remarkable ...

Tom, what can I say that already hasn't been said.

Your words take hold as they're being read.

"They promise one another to never part, sharing words of love - sealing them together for eternity"..

An absolutely beautiful piece of writing.

Thank ye all so very much. I'm deeply warmed by all this light fervor. After reading this piece back I did notice a couple of errors which required editing. I'm terrible at this sort of thing in the overall and do surely wish I had a good professional editor to handle my works. As well, a publisher would be appreciated. The time approacheth!

At any rate I've edited out the slender mistakes and have put the poem into graphics format. Please find it momentarily in here.

Thank ye all, again, so very much.
