I understand the USA is not the biggest country in the world, but when I get a notification that there's people out there 'near me', well...
I am in California. 'Near me' does not include Georgia, New Jersey, New York City, New Brunswick, nor Capetown. Sydney's right out. Does anyone else get this? (And if you're using geolocation IP, stop it. Use where I says I am. Use where they says they are. This is a satellite internet connection. Technically, I'm in geosynchronous orbit here... ;-P S. |

Does this help? you can set your filters so only people from a certain distance can contact you?

I had the funny idea that 'near me' as the default was close by. Apparently not. Furthermore, it's not nearly sensitive enough. 400 miles is nothing up the western interstates, but 4,000 miles is just a little pushing it. It gives you a few specific 'block people like this', but for a more fine-grained response? Not so much. Grant 'em points for trying, but their blurb 'new people near you' is akin to what is generally emitted from the south end of a northbound bovine. 'ta, S. |

hello
every time i find someone from Lebanon, it turns out that shes not from Leabanon. the people are saying that it is the gps on the phone doing this so please can we just show the real location of a person ? |

GPS is actually one of the more reliable ways to get a person's location, imperium5. We regularly test, though, so we will check on this soon.

there are 2 things i have noticed about this
1) if other states have a city with the same name as sone that is within your say 50 mile limit then the ones from other states will also pop up. 2) as seen from profiles of those we can't post about. when a person changes their home town they still show up inside your distance filters even tho they relocated outside the filter limit. |

Hi! I am not getting profiles from Calgary( my local) and 95% getting likes and messages from USA , how I can setup so that I can get likes and messages from Calgary profiles, also whenever I click ONLINE profiles then I am getting just 2 profiles from Calgary and rest all from USA, how to fix this bug?, I report this bug few times to company but still no reply and no fix solutions, anyone can help me,

Online means that is who are online at the very millisecond you clicked the button. Chances are not everyone in your area are online at the same time.
Next you can set your filters in the full site or on a p.c. and all you have to do is ignore or delete the messages from those you don't wish to communicate with. Use common sense. You should know what cities are in the area you wish to talk to. If you are not sure. Then use a map or location program. Ok ii'm done ranting. Have fun and trust your gut.
