race is the origin of each person by the country in which they were born or descend from.

Well I think race has to do with your family and culture, not so much your skin color. People make it out to be a lot bigger deal than it is. With race also comes different lifestyles.

i wouldn't say country, national boundries are not always drawn based on ethnic lines. i would say race is, in a biological sense, the ethnic heritage(s) from which you are descended, and socially speaking it is comprised of the mixture between the cultural groups from which you are descended, those taught to you by those who raise you, the general culture of the nation in which you are raised, and later the manner in which you choose or balance your various racial identities to form a self conception of your own individual identity...ok sorry i'm done monologing...my apologies...

the only reason i think biology matters at all is that it affects how some people choose to treat us and that in turn affects our self conception. I don't believe that it truly has an affect on our natures or personality otherwise...but it can influence us in how we decide upon our racial identity...unfortunately.

Race is a term used to separate people...to define them, categorise them, or to judge them.

I'm with you 'jess' on the 'lazyworker' thing,

But still want to address your comment:

"... Race is a term used to separate people...to define them, categorise them, or to judge them..."

Totally agree, and might I add:

Our only interest and commitment should be devoted to the 'HUMAN RACE'!!!

Anyting short of that is working towards its obliteration.
... and I'll have you know that ours, is a seriously endangered species!!!

Now then,

For our 'lazyworker' host, here is an assignment to demonstrate her appreciation for all the work we've done for her:

You are to post comments of your understanding and interpretation, as well as your appreciation, for every post that was contributed to you in the different threads that you launched in the past few days.

No 'new threads' for you until this assignment is completed.

Good luck with your mission!

HUM!!!

Interesting indeed that you should have gotten an anthropomorphistic taste from the comment. Maybe there is, but I didn't intend it.

My perspective was more from the angle of what factually and biologically makes us one race, rather than focussing on all the lies that try to convince us of some inexistant differences.

But if you interest remains sincere 'curious22', as I trust it might well be, you would probably appreciate the 'Pierre Teilhard de Chardin' fascinating thesis on the subject.

A sort of '... everything which goes up converges, and everything which doesn't, stagnates and dies!'

It applies to this specific post admirably.

We will converge if we elevetate our ethics and morals to honor ONE human race, and we will just as surely stagnate and die if we remain stuck in imposing our delusional religious, cultural, political, or economic differences!

Look forward to discussing this further after youlook up 'PTdC'.

Good morning!(It's morning in Hawaii)
thank you for your opinions :)
Yes, I'm a little lazy :(
But I really appreciate your answers!
I'm trying to understand your words now.(I'm not a native speaker)
So "Race" is a term that is used to separate people or describe where people are from?

It's not neccessarily the word "race" itself that implies we're separate. It's the idea that we're different as humans. We're not, reguardless of what your "ethnicity" may be. flowerforyou

Hmm what is the difference between ethnicity and race?
