HELP ME!! has anyone else been on birth control and then stopped? i was on it for 3 years and quit in May. what were your experiences when u quit?

ummmmmmmmm heavy bleeding, emesis, cramps for the first menstrual period......after that I was fine......

oh, havent had that yet, but im havin a prob with clots, the ER nurse wouldnt tell me if that happened alot. i just dont wanna go to the doc if its not absoultly needed

Was on Depo for a long time then quit....lots of bleeding for what seemed like months. On it again and love it. No periods!

Yeah...it eventually stopped and I got back to normal, but it was a pain in the ass for quite a while.

pj1987, i started heavy bleeding and clots about a year ago. recently it has been discovered that I have a uterine fibroid.
its a growth of tissue usually aided by a surge in estrogen, but not cancerous. but it creates menstrual issues :heavy or longer periods, clotting(as your body tries to dispose of it thinking it's part of the monthly build-up, peeing alot/often if it gets large enough to put pressure on other organs.
fibroids rarely turn out to be cancerous, but if not checked they can be a real pain in the arss-or womb, so to speak.
talk to someone about fibroids. they can be difficult to diagnose.
mine was found only because it got to be the size of a flipping grapefruit !!ugh ...
