After the debacle yesterday(a few weeks following the Florida debacle, that a few weeks removed from the Cal debacle), It's pretty obvious that it's time for Tennessee Coach Phillip Fulmer, and his entire coaching staff, to resign. I'm sick and tired of hearing about how great they are, only to see then get throttled EVERY time they play a good or better team. They're not even COMPETETIVE in these matchups, for crying out loud!
Here's my list of reasons why UT needs a new coaching staff:

1.Fulmer is STILL living off the fumes of the 1998 national title season, convinently forgetting that if one of THREE teams ranked above him hadn't lost in the final week of the regular season, UT wouldn't have been anywhere near the title game.

2.UT ranks in the top 10 every year in recruiting. That means they're ALWAYS getting loads of good prospects. Lousy coaching is holding them down. Fulmer's always had a fetish for recruiting a player, and then putting him at a totally different position.

3.As I mentioned earlier, whenever UT plays a good opponent, 95% of the time UT not only gets beat, but blown out by 17 or more points. His record against good SEC teams is abysmal.

4.John Chavis is a good defensive coach? Where? Reread point #3.

5.During the Alabama game Saturday, "Bama opened up with an onsides kick. Later in the 1st quarter, they went for it on 4th and 1. During the second half, UT had a 4th and 1. What do you think they did? That's right--"PUNT TEAM ON THE FIELD". Fulmer and his entire staff has GOT to be the most CONSERVATIVE coahing staff in the history of college football.

I'll give Fulmer credit for one thing: He knows exactly the LEAST amount of work he needs to do to keep his job and overinflated salary. But you won't get one inch of extra effort from him.

In closing, It's obvious that the game of football in 2007 has woefully passed Fulmer and his staff by. This isn't the 1980s any more. Fulmer REFUSES to adapt to an ever-changing game, and he thinks that he knows everything there is to know about the game. The day you think that, that's the day that time truly starts to pass you by. And time is rapidly passing these guys by.

FIRE PHILLIP FULMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
