Hi Maria,

I was thinking exactly like Jack. He said it best. I'm sure you'll make her proud and always have. She's still there with you. Just talk to her and she'll hear you; now and forever.

Much love,
Tulip.

Thanks Tulip! flowerforyou You sound so sweet with your kind words as Chuck did  this post makes me realize that I am not all alone anymore. I feel like all of you are part of my family and makes me happy being here.

Hugs,
Maria

True losing loved ones around holidays, in particularly parents or spouses does tend to rain on the parade some.

I tried to re-enter my holiday giving to my late father to some more of the frail and elderly that live around me and I am paying big time for romping around in the late night rain playing Christmas Elf. LOL I should know better. Guess I will don my Bah Humbug t-shirt and another round of Vapo Rub. Worse comes to worse I will take a spoonful of white lightening one of my old Kentucky friends gave me and nap the day away. Wish Pizza Hut delivered chicken soup. tears

Thanks PacificStar48! flowerforyou My Mom passed on few months ago but feels like it was yesterday. I miss her everyday frown

What is "White lightening"? excuse me for asking

White lightening is almost pure alcohol brewed in illegal stills way deep in Appalachian mountains were even the Revenuers are afraid to go. Even a little tiny amount will burn all the way down but it sure will knock out a cold in your chest. If not it makes you not care for several hours if not the rest of the day.

Oh wow Pacific, that is new to me lol I never heard about the kind of alcohol...That must feel like fire :)

I 100% agree with parents sending love across from the next world. It is just reported too many times for me to believe otherwise. Maybe it is just a falling leaf, or a cool breeze on your cheek, or something moved but if you can calm your grief you will know when they have a hand in something.

And I think many of Mingle land folks parents must be very proud.

Is funny you just mentioned this because I can smell her perfume sometimes in parts of the house and dream of her a lot.

I think some might feel proud flowerforyou I miss not being able to join the forums, some of mingle parents and close friends. I know my everyday life is kind of busy lately trying to help out my daughter with my grandson.
