Which one do you prefer the old fashion way of reading a hard cover book or newspaper? Or you prefer to read online?

I prefer good old fashioned paper! Love the feel and touch of paper, the smell of it. I always smell books, hahaha. If the paper is really smooth, I don't like it so much.

But ... I hardly ever read normal books anymore, as I have a neck injury. I need to use a stand if I want to read a book, and I find it annoying to do that.
So these days it's mostly Ebooks and/or online, because then I can sit up straight, not putting strain on my neck and head.

I still gotta steer clear from bookshops though! Love books!! and wholeheartedly regret I can't really read normally anymore.

Oh I hope your neck injury is not serious, and that you get better soon.

I love both. Don't have a preference. I still buy and read real books. But, having a Kindle has made reading more convenient. And with the Kindle I've been able to read books that are ridiculously priced just to buy a paperback.

My problem is there can be too many. Since my first apartment 32-35 yrs ago to a big house, to downsizing ... SHELVES!

But. But. I am developing a system...If I read it at least 3 times. It stays!! laugh

Mine. All mine.

I always read books. Newspapers. Magazines. It's hard to pass up a book sale.

I always go to my local library when there is a book sale. We have a brand new library here which is really nice. I keep books for my collection. I donate books I don't want to a local thrift store.

Do you take the paper jacket off it?
If you ever sell a book, it is worth a lot more if the jacket us in tack.
* Just like a jacket on an old record album *
I will make a cover with (good) wrapping paper. Looks good on shelves that way too
* Drives nosey people crazy...! laugh *

I do actually take it completely off and iron it out and put it in a file in my file cabinet.
I learned that from my grandmother she had some amazing first editions that had the jackets. Upon her death and they were sold in the estate they were worth an amazing amount of money.
