Once or twice a year the Powerball reaches those 400 to 500 million dollar jackpots.
They generate mass media buzz and the interest of the public who hope to win such a huge prize. It's a time when most can appreciate how much money that really is and what they could do with all that money. Think about it, you could spend a million dollars a month, every month for the next 40 years and still not run out of money! Yet, when it comes to the national debt there is little media buzz or interest in the money we owe(that the following generations will have to pay)and how much it is escalating everyday. Think about this, our debt is increasing by 3 powerball jackpots every single day! Every day our debt increases 1.5 BILLION dollars. Maybe its time for people to realize just how much money our children are being put on the hook for and stand up and say we are not going to take it anymore. It is no secret Obama has increased the debt more then ALL the previous presidents COMBINED. It's also clear neither Bernie nor Hillary intend to stop any of the foolish government programs and spending, in fact both would most likely increase spending we can't afford. Its easy to get complacent when you see a debt clock counting trillions of dollars away, it almost becomes a blur. But when you think about the government giving 3 or 4 powerball jackpots away every day, 365 days a year, it gives people a better perspective just how much we are putting the future of our country at risk! |
