I have adblockplus in firefox.

I don't see any ads.

I did turn it off on a page to test a picture resolution issue I was having but it wasn't the issue.

I keep my system immunized with spybot search and destroy and it may have something to do with it.

I also went into my control panel and shut off javascripts in internet options. I have java enabled in my firefox plugins but firefox asks permission when a site uses java.

Ads generate revenue for free sites that helps them remain free. It also helps pay for the costs of bigger servers and higher bandwidth.
This topic is nearly a full year old. I started M2 at the beginning of this year. It is possible that M2 has found a work around. It is also possible that they have enough members not using adblocking software that it is not an issue for them. I am grateful for my adfree experience.
