According to Okaz newspaper, the last six months has seen 35 cases of homosexuality and 50 cases of cross-dressers as well as cases of "sexual perversion” in Saudi Arabia. It comes after a Saudi man was arrested this week when he raised the rainbow flag outside his home in Jeddah. One man was arrested for hoisting the LGBT flag in Saudi Arabia The doctor was arrested by religious police within hours of hoisting the flag in the port city. But he was released shortly afterwards when he claimed he had no idea what the pride flag symbolised. In addition, Okaz reported that a man in his 50s was arrested for making sexual advances to men online. He allegedly begged for forgiveness during the police interrogation and said he would not do it again. The calls from the law makers has seen a backlash on social media with some using the hashtag #I_am_gay_will_not_be_deterred. One tweeted: "I stand with the Saudi Arabian LGBT community." It is illegal to be gay in Saudi Arabia Currently, the Saudi government hands out fines, prison sentences and whipping for being openly gay. A second conviction automatically merits automatic executions although vigilante executions are also common. I could have sworn I saw in another thread, maybe even here, that our oil production is higher than ever. You say it's zero? News to me. As for Saudi Arabia not being a paradise of American values, that's hardly news. They only get soft treatment in the media and in both GOP and Democratic political talk, because they have been sort of technically on our side against SOME of the terrorists. |

just for their own sake ... will not change over there ... social media is bringing on a lot of things... and specially the internet... this is how ISIS is gaining an recruiting... many all over the world ... Kinda sad ..that people believe them... but once they have ... these people ... to late... they are used ...raped and killed ... on the behave of these hate groups ... once one site of theirs is up... gone... as another pops up ... their watching ... this is not like bin laden with the his videos... they are way more sophisticated now... with the kind of cameras and videos they use ... and they are really watching our presidential elections ... and our internet news stories ... an just preying on the innocent ...to join them... |
