My sister had it done and she had no problems. There is always a risk in any surgery so weigh the options.

For instance, for people over 40, who may only use glasses for distance wear, having this kind of surgery may cause them to actually go the other way and need glasses to read with instead. It is a common occurrence. There are many people happy with the results, however, at some point age WILL catch up and a person will need glasses to read with.

You must also have a very skilled surgeon, as sometimes a person is over corrected.
