Anniversary?
You mean dating 6 months?

Sorry, for this breakup & the confusion it causes. flowers

It is difficult, when we want explanations that we may never have.
But having an explanation, rarely changes a situation. With a romantic relationship, it is unlikely to solve anything.
Asking yourself, ' Why?', only keeps you locked in confusion, pain & locked in, to him.

Be good to yourself. You need time to heal. And then examine yourself.
Not him. His reasons are his own.
And he may not have an answer, himself (yet).

Step back from him completely.
Or you won't be able to move on.
If you don't.. You won't see what or who is REALLY meant to be (for you).

Hope this helps.

You Doug,
If the guy knew he couldn't live up to her standards he shouldn't have wasted her time.
And Ayuachi, when you start dating, you should ask your guy specific questions which would help you to know if he's fishing or looking for a keeper. You might not know if he's telling the truth at first, so study him and you'll learn if he is lying or not after some while. 6 months is good enough to learn him... but if he is a real fake it would be a bit difficult to tell. Like the saying goes - fake it to make it. And lastly, am sorry for the breakup. I hope you focus on yourself in order for you to heal .

Actually I think they both got lucky. 6 months is a good investment of time to see if you are compatible. I notice the young gals these days look at online dating like they are signing a car loan. There are no guarantees. If they had gotten married, it may have lead to a divorce. Tshanice, maybe you see him as a lookyloo, but I'm sure he was seriously looking too? See what I did there?
I think the OP is lucky too. She is on her profile stating she is looking for marriage. I think the guy was too. Maybe he spotted the incompatibility, and she wanted to be married. He didn't have the heart to tell her to her face. I don't excuse that. Cest LA vive, such is life. Ayuachi, good luck in your quest.
