Hillary Clinton Sounds The Alarm After Brexit; Warns Of ‘Economic Uncertainty’
![]() Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reacted to the vote by the United Kingdom to withdraw from the European Union by sounding the alarm over economic uncertainty. “Our first task has to be to make sure that the economic uncertainty created by these events does not hurt working families here in America,” she warned. Clinton argued that she would be the best choice for president, assuring voters that her experience would help stabilize the world. “This time of uncertainty only underscores the need for calm, steady, experienced leadership in the White House to protect Americans’ pocketbooks and livelihoods, to support our friends and allies, to stand up to our adversaries, and to defend our interests.” Clinton also hinted that the United States should reject the nationalistic, economic populist tone that fueled the “leave” vote in Britain. “It also underscores the need for us to pull together to solve our challenges as a country, not tear each other down,” she said. Clinton made a symbolic gesture to the United Kingdom, recalling the “special relationship” that would continue with the United States. She said she respected the decision by voters. http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/06/24/hillary-clinton-sounds-alarm-brexit-warns-economic-uncertainty/ RELATED: Topic: Brexit Vote Updates http://m.mingle2.com/topic/show/489349/ * Post what you have, there certainly is a lot of doom & gloom 'stories' & 'wordplay' & I am sure there will be lots of 'blame & shame' ones, down the road* |

Hillary Clinton Sounds The Alarm After Brexit; Warns Of ‘Economic Uncertainty’
Never let what you can manipulate into a crisis go to waste. “Our first task has to be to make sure that the economic uncertainty created by these events does not hurt working families here in America,” she warned.
And under her breath whispered "and by working families I mean markets and protecting big businesses, like my master Darth Goldman. Besides, I plan on hurting regular working families myself and even I'm aware they can only handle so much." Clinton also hinted that the United States should reject the nationalistic, economic populist..."It also underscores the need for us to pull together to solve our challenges as a country..."
So...who exactly is the "us" that should pull together? Every Tom, Danuel, and Harry that happened to wander over the border? Everyone that's part of good ol' "sit on daddy's lap" Bill's NAFTA? In order to define a group of "us" you kinda need boundaries and a unifying culture. And in order to come together as a country, you kinda need borders that define you are one country, sovereign from other countries with a unique populace. Without those things that a group/nation can point to, identify, identify with, and universally accept, then it just becomes Hillary Clinton saying "us vs. them, and us is however I want to define it, ostracizing all those that don't live up to my idea of who us should be, and them is also however I define it and if you don't live up to the us I want you to, then you're a them and you're attacking us. I have the power and authority to define who you are and where you belong." Clinton made a symbolic gesture to the United Kingdom
I make a symbolic one finger gesture to the image of Hillary every time I see her. recalling the “special relationship” that would continue with the United States. She said she respected the decision by voters.
If that were true, then her speech would have been very different, IMO, rather than inventing a bogeyman created directly after "Brexit" everyone has to unite against. Is this Hillary trying to be seen as the great uniter like Obama tried in his campaign and rule? |

After Brexit Vote, Hillary Clinton Should Be Scared
The biggest risk factor that Democrats face is Hillary Clinton herself. Odds are strong that Hillary Clinton will be the 45th President of the United States. Odds were even stronger that voters in the United Kingdom would choose to stay in the European Union but once again this year the pundits and elites have been dead wrong. The Brexit results do in fact shed some light on the United States Presidential election. I (and others) have written extensively about the distinct advantages that the Democratic nominee most likely has going into the fall campaign. Democrats have been assured of 242 electoral votes (of the required 270 majority) over the past six elections. The “poorest” performer during this time span was John Kerry who received 257 in 2004. And demographics are certainly a strong point for the Democrats, too. But the biggest risk factor that Democrats face is Hillary Clinton herself and this week’s UK vote suggests to us how we probably should be looking at the frontrunner. Voters across the pond said a resounding “No” to immigration, loss of national sovereignty, to government from outside elites and to a weak currency. They were stirred up by demagogues who tapped into their anger, but both dominant parties in the UK were tarnished by the status quo and by the sense that they were no longer in control of their nation’s destiny. June 23 was a bad day for elites in government, media, banking and in business. Enter Donald Trump, who just happened to be in Scotland to dedicate a new golf course. Trump has based his campaign on “Making America Great Again,” a return to national sovereignty, military strength, diplomacy from strength and a focus on the forgotten middle class – the sort of things that fueled Brexit. The obvious question is how does a billionaire who has manipulated the system for his own financial benefit speak for the troubled working men and women who have lost ground over the past two decades? Recommended by Forbes The answer is that he at least is what he is and you get what you get. Translated: He has avoided releasing his files that could show exactly how he has done this. He has taken advantage of every possible bankruptcy law by filing bankruptcy four times in order to avoid paying debts from reckless business practices. To voters who have been steadily losing ground, he is seen as someone who exposes the corruption of the system that has betrayed them by his very acts of cheating that hated system. Who better to stick a needle in the eye of the elites than someone who has proven first hand that he could break those very laws which benefit elites? He is unabashed, even proud, and says he alone is the one who can fix it. Make no mistake about it, I find it scary and I find him troublesome – but I find him more authentic than Clinton. That is her problem. The Clintons are indeed the elite of the Democratic Party and the Beltway. They are the “system” that many in the middle class are railing against. When Trump calls her “crooked Hillary,” he has a point for millions of voters. Going back to making $100,000 in one day on an alleged insider trading scheme and overbilling clients from her Rose Law firm days, she has had a “bad Hillary” side to her that troubles voters http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnzogby/2016/06/24/after-brexit-vote-hillary-clinton-should-be-scared/#17e8912b7a47/ |
