Why is it that when your a teen or in your 20's dating is like second nature, but hit your 40's and it's almost impossible.

Why is it that when your a teen or in your 20's dating is like second nature, but hit your 40's and it's almost impossible. I'm 38 and it's the same boat. Riddle me that? It's like there is some magic wall or something.

Why is it that when your a teen or in your 20's dating is like second nature, but hit your 40's and it's almost impossible. I think one of the main reasons in our 20's we didn't care so much if we were rejected there was always another one around the corner. We were more willing to take the chances. As we get older we get a little wiser and a whole lot pickier. So therefore the dating pool gets smaller. And BTW there is way more areas to find dates than clubs. Never dated someone I met in a club. I figured that if I found them there I would leave them there.. |

Where do you go to meet people? I haven't been on the dating scene for 5 years

All I know is that being in the country doesn't help my situation at all. I live 16 miles out of the nearest city and Keene, NH isn't much of a city anyway. Granted, I love where I live but it doesn't help my love life.

Well if your problem is your location then maybe you should think it over....whether you want to pursue your happiness (then try re-settling) or die in loneliness (Stay put) ... Also, Life Begins at 45 and even 50...That is where the most FUN starts....Lolzzzz Gidddiiiyaaappppp....

I work at a Home Depot and believe it or not, I need a lot of beautiful women, I work at the paint guess so mostly women come there to get paint mixed. we have a saying at Home Depot, men come there to shop women come there to shop for a man. and it's true you can meet a lot of women in Home Depot lol.
