New WikiLeaks Bombshell: Clinton Aides Discussed 'Emails to and from POTUS'

Fox News chief national correspondent Ed Henry reported on the newest bombshell to come out of the hacked emails released by WikiLeaks.

In an email on March 4, 2015 John Podesta - Clinton's campaign chair - wrote to longtime Clinton aide Cheryl Mills: "Think we should hold emails to and from potus? That's the heart of his exec privilege. We could get them to ask for that. They may not care, but I(t) seems like they will."

Henry pointed out why the timing of that message may be significant. One day before, House Benghazi Committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) issued a subpoena demanding Clinton preserve her emails and records.

On March 20, 2015 Gowdy demanded that the private email server be turned over to the committee. Henry said that a March 22 email exchange discussed Clinton and President Obama meeting at the White House.

The president has always maintained that he did not know Clinton used a private server while she was secretary of state and that the two rarely communicated by email.

The State Department said today that a small number of work-related emails were not turned over due to executive privilege, Henry reported.

I wouldn't call this a "bombshell." Presidents and their lower administration members have used executive privilege since forever,without regard to who, or which party held the office. That an underling proposed to try to use it to help them frustrate what they may have thought of as intrusive overreach by Congress, may or may not indicate something serious.

As usual, we need the other shoe to drop, to know what, if anything, it means. That is, until they find specific evidence that this was used as a trick to hide emails which are actually evidence of conscious wrong-doing, this is still just a small part of the non-stop war that's been going on between the political game players in the two parties for a very long time now.

Allegations. Still no proof. Not defending anyone here, just being the accuracy monitor.

I wouldn't be surprised if it IS true, since this kind of thing has been a part of government since forever.

I was even offered a bribe once, as a private citizen, to help an incredibly drunk politician cover up his drunk driving, by helping him tow his car out of the deep ditch he'd driven it in to.

That's my overall frustration with this kind of thing. It's very much like the to-do over Trump and Bill Clinton both screwing around on their wives.

I'm all for calling out the people who are doing wrong, and dealing with them appropriately, but pretending that ONLY your political opposition does this kind of crap, is delusional, and calling for a dramatic shift to make sure that only YOUR guys get to play fast and loose with the law, is downright duplicitous.

Isn't it amazing how she tells her idiot supporters one thing and does the other. They still believe she is wonderful.
