i was just at a funeral of a friend.there were OVER 140 people in the church.i am not proud of the fact that i have not shed a tear for anyones funeral since my mom passed away 15 years 7 months and 4 days ago.i am seriously wondering if my nickname of heartless-s.o.b. is true about me. why is it when a gal hurts me that i shed one and only one tear but at a funeral of a friend or family member i don't shed any? does anyone have a logical reason for this? PLEASE i need advice. peace.

Maybe just maybe if you allow yourself to shed a tear or two your afraid that you won't stop........or it could be because you were taught that men don't cry........what a bunch of bs.......go ahead shed those tears tonight in the shower so it mingles with the water if that will make you feel better about it.......leave it out:smile:

well - sorry to hear about your friend. in reference to your question - everyone reacts differently to lousy situations. just because most people cry, doesn't mean you have to. i am not a cryer either. as long as you have another outlet for your emotions, i say not to worry.

Everyone deals with grief in their own way... It doesn't make you heartless just because you don't cry.. I am sure that you are sad, but you should not automatically think there is something wrong with yourself. I don't think anyone should be programmed or told how they should grieve...
