 The Holidays are here again!
I'm wondering what all of u are doing for your holidays? For Thanksgiving, I don't have my kids, so I will be going to my boyfriend's family's for the day. This will be the 1st time that I have met a guy's parents since 1992!!!! YIKES!! I'm a wee bit nervous!noway I've been dating him for 5 months now, so I guess it's that time..

Then for Christmas I'll be taking my kids to pick out their tree, then we always make decorations for every year which I save and reuse and add new! The only thing that I put on the tree that's allready made, are the lights. That's my christmas tradition! the kids get really into it too:) It's a blast!!

Of course I do get to spend time with other family too, just on off days so that I can have most of the time with the people closest to me first..

Happy Holidays! can't wait to hear how you'll be spending yours!!

That is really cool about your Christmas tree. We make an ornament together every year to put on our tree and I save them too. But, I also buy my son an ornament every year and write the date on it. Then, when he is old enought to have his own place he will have a tree full of ornaments.sigh and grin...but mom isn't ready for that day yet.lol He is only 8.
I think this is going to be his last year for believing in Santa too. My how the time flies. But anyways, other traditions we have... we make cookies, treats ,and home made gifts for family and friends. We go look at lights, read the Christmas story, watch A Charlie Brown Christmas and The christmas movie about that little boy Ralpie.lol. And on Christmas eve night, we snuggle up under the tree and look up into the lights, usually eating a candy cane and talk about the meaning of Christmas and our favorite parts.
I really enjoyed your post. What a great idea for everyone to share !!!!

I will be working Thanksgiving Day. My family will in VA and somehow I was disinvited before I was invited..

So, I will be alone until mid afternoon when my son comes over for a few hours. He asked to spend the holiday with his dad & myself.

Though I prefer to be at the beach.

Thanksgiving for me is spent all day slaveing over a hot stove.
To latter watch my family devour what took me two days to prepare- in a matter of minutes. laugh

We usually take turns saying what we are thankful for- before we eat...

Yet spending time with my children is great... we talk and joke around after the meal and just enjoy each others company.
My guest list has grown this year.

Happy Thanksgiving America!!!

I will have my daughter and we will be spending Turkey Day with my parents, sister, and sis's kids. Man, how things change as you get older. When I was younger the holidays were always spent with aunts/uncles/and cousins as well. But now everyone does there own thing. I do miss those days. I am looking forward to some nice cold Christmas Ale before the turkey puts me to sleepyawn
