Try to remember one thing about community forums.
Community forums are like bulletin boards in your school, church or at work.
They are not real-time chats.

Chats are live 'rooms' where people used to 'chat' using their computers. Chatrooms morphed into what we now call instant messaging but were open to the public most of the time.

Think of community forums as a place where you write something and post it on the wall.
Someone else writes a reply or adds to what you wrote and pins it right under yours.
All the things people pin up on the board stays there and people come along and add to it.

Some people will write long notes and some will just pin up a picture or a few words. Others will just sit and read and never pin anything up there.

A posting may stay up there for a long time with nobody pinning anything under it. Discussions are not in real-time.

As you read these postings hung up for all to see, you will find funny things, serious things, helpful things and lots of other ways we express ourselves. It helps you to get to know people by what they share. It also shows you things that are tolerated within this dating community. You find people that are like-minded and soon you build friendships with some of them.

I hope you find lots of like-minded friends and discuss a wide range of topics. Enjoy the diversity.
