The southern Outer Banks in North Carolina, i.e. Hatterass village, Frisco, Avon, anywhere south of Pea Island is the most laid back, peaceful, and beautiful beaches on the east coast, good food, good folks and one of the most famous places in the world for surf fishing. Lots of historic sites for the history buff. Great place for Lovers.Definitely not for kids unless you go north to kitty hawk for the rides and games. Let me know what you think if you've ever been there.
