Yellowrose10,

Because your not black & brown in some cases. Yes its not always about race but for years it has. until you live as a black or brown person particularly males you would never truly understand and that's not totally your fault. When you look at the news or reads the papers, you see 85 percent of what you see is black & brown males getting into trouble. I don't expect you to see my point because the same rights that was set for people that's not a minority doesn't always apply to men , women & children look like me. Don't get me wrong white guys get harassed too but its not televised like with black & brown. We live in a country where if you not white & Privileged, you will be treated differently. that's coming from what I see and been thru. Do you honestly think the constitution really protects every man equally? Please don't say you believe in it. No , if you read them all the way through you can see that doesn't';t apply for melanin people. Just because Barak was president didn't mean racism was eliminated for minorities, it just gave African Americans a sense of happiness but that didn't change the face of this country. Until the lord return race will always be a factor.

I know about cops and come from a cop/military family and friends

Tale your scenario, where you are the cop. You left out the guy just walking away. That guy could have had warrants/rapist/whatever but it seema to go back to race. Shouldn't all races abided by the law? Why can he walk away and not others?

The media prints stories for people to read to boost ratings. I know cops. There are bad cops of course. But there are rapist doctors, etc. Good and bad everywhere. Not everything is racist

Sit & A Cup Of My Hot Tea With A Slice Of Controversy part 20!

My Weekly Rant!......My Logic

Okay, America its been sometime now since my last rant, how I feel about this here, well again things could of been done differently, as the pedestrian, if you didn't know about your city's jay walk laws and you violated that's one thing. If you did you didn't care well you have to take the consequences with your action. Now if I'm a cop and saw that, do your job, stop him, ask him are you aware you jaywalked? Did you know that's against the law? Now if he was humble and didn't know , remember I'm the cop, I would either let him go with a warning. I could just give him a small fine, I don't think imprisonment fits but I would do my job. Its no excuse to take it any further than that. If I was a cop the last thing I want glued to me is police brutality. But if the suspect charging at me, well you better believe I'm use a little more force just to protect myself.

How can you warn someone that just walks away. The cops I know check everyone stopped for warrants etc. Hell I was checked for speeding. Was the cop sexist? No. He did his job. I didn't blow him off and walk away

YellowRose10,

I think you missing my point, I was throwing out there what could of just made the whole thing a lot easier. the violence that followed after could of been avoided. Fighting with people in this world you never let something escalate to that point , people lost lives playing vigilantes. I think I would of been a hell of a lot easier if you just let the cop do his job, you may be innocent okay if you innocent then its no need to be confrontational.

YellowRose10,

you may have friends & family that's not racist and I think that's wonderful but there's a lot of other cops, politicians, & cops that are. You don't need me to say that .

No I got the point. Race was brought up many times

Could it have been handle different? Sure. Could the guy cooperated and then let go with a warning or ticket? Sure. How should the cop know who the guy was when he walked away. Leave the race card out

YellowRose10,

I can't do that when my people and others get the same privileges, opportunities, respect, and equality as the majority, I have to call it as I see it. Don't get me wrong, I love all people , I really do, but when it comes to defending my people and confronting the issues we face well, I'm have to tell the truth shame the devil. As A lack German here in America my life was pretty easy. only time I faced racism was when being a victim of profiling by a cop. I really never was in a environment where I was a minority. I grew up in a predominately Spanish neighborhood, I went to a mixed high school, later moved into a mixed neighborhood. So I was never in a situation where I wasn't around different people. but just because my background was quite easy doesn't mean profiling, racism, & prejudices don't exist. As I became an adult that's when I seen the world as its true colors.

And I won't let "my people" (which is ridiculous to me) be labeled that way. You put yourself in the cops shoes....keep going. What would you have done if the guy walked away? Playing the race card is wrong without proof

YellowRose10,

If I was the cop first like I mention in my rant, I would pull him to the side and ask him was he was aware of why I stopped him. sometimes, it don't have to be a scene. like I said, both was wrong I stand by that. things could of been done differently.

And the guy just walks away before being checked (procedure for cops to check for warrants, etc)

Now what do you do? As I said...you didn't finish the scenario. Part was left out
