1. If you disapprove of gay marriage, DONT marry a gay person

2. If you reject the traditional constructs of God/Deity, then be an aetheist or agnostic . If you are a religious person, DONT become an aetheist or agnostic. All groups mentioned in the first and second solution can co exist in the same country . And surprisingly so can all races if everyone is treated equally

3. If you have borrowed billions of dollars to rescue your country's economy , invest some of that money in revenue generating initiatives like tourism , agriculture etc

DONT spend too much of it on unnecessary travelling, golf trips , unnecessary federal invstigations and military development

4. Minimize pollution as much as possible . DONT sacrifice the environment and everyone's future for a quick buck

5. Assign administrators in the health and educational sectors, whose resumes reflect the full gamut of experience in the field of health and education.

6. Include initiatives that assist the elderly, disabled and diseased ... a demographic that every person in the world is vulnerable to falling into at some point

QUESTION:

Do you have have any suggestions/solutions for global problems?

1. If you want a green earth, plant more trees.
2. If you want to inhale fresh clean air, don't smoke, only chew betel nut; don't ride vehicles only bicycle, horse or just walklaugh laugh
3. If you Don't like how your president govern your country, migrate to other countries you like, that way it will lessen government oppositionslaugh
4. Terrorists are everywhere, if you are afraid don't go out of your house, always lock the door for safetylaugh
5. To counteract terrorism, own a gun and get yourself prepared to fire, aim and hit the target, let us see who would pull the trigger firsttongue2

Quip Tip Mikey4u:

Trees are skeptics by nature.
If a tree doesnt hug you back , it probably wasnt ready for all the love you had in store

Never take tree rejection personally :flowerforyou

Ps: And where is the re-start button of which you speak? :):):)

The golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

more specifically

1. Realize that we all impact each other, even things that seem to 'not harm anyone'.

2. If you insist people are 'born' with certain feelings, than respect peoples religious feelings and do no demand they put them aside to accommodate you. There is enough diversity to FIND those who will accommodate without forcing them to.

3. Realize that a persons worth is not tied up in their economic status. No man is an island and everyone gets some 'help' sometimes.

4. Realize that adjectives are not bad or 'divisive' when they merely reflect factual information and background information. We can all be 'human' we can all be 'equal' without all having to pretend to be 'the same'.

5.Protect and guide the younger generation whose brains are still forming(up to 25 years old).

6.Realize that people will have flaws and needs and wants, regardless of their occupational title. Many people technically live off of 'taxpayer' money but still are people and should not be expected to be perfect and constantly at a job.

7. Reject the urge to make things 'equal', by making everything a subjective standard. Social norms and standards are important for structure, as are words and their definitions, and rules and laws.

8. Understand every day you are here is an opportunity to learn and improve. You and noone you know are perfect or you would no longer need to be here, so reject the misperception that people disapproving of something you do or say are 'hateful' of you. Who 'you are' changes in every moment and with every new choice. What you are doing or saying is, in any one of theose moments, only one of those choices and not one that completely defines you.

I think most of the problems stem from the perceptions we have and promote about each other. When we can believe certain groups are 'less than' we are, we can easily disregard and even harm the individuals who belong to them.

I do believe that long ago the 2 major players should of banged there heads together and sorted things out ie usa and Russia. I know many would disagree and by far that nieve to say it would work but hey, no harm in trying.

Do you have have any suggestions/solutions for global problems?

As a science fiction fan I have read and seen many ways to solve our current society/global issues. Most depictions of utopian global societies are fraught with problems. Even the utopia of Star Trek is riddled with issues.

Globally, problems can be unified to a few causes that have wide ranges of outcomes.

Prejudice/Discrimination
Wealth Inequity
Power Inequity or Abuse
Resistance to Change
Lack of Connection (with others, the environment, distant lifestyles)

The Kardashev scale was developed as a way of measuring a civilization’s technological advancement based upon how much usable energy it has at its disposal. It signifies how advanced a civilization is technologically but also indicates the possibility of applied utopian principles.

A Type I designation is a given to species who have been able to harness all the energy that is available on planet from a neighboring star, gathering and storing it to meet the energy demands of a growing population.

Type II civilization – can harness the power of their entire star (not merely transforming starlight into energy, but controlling the star).

We are Type ZERO

For more on the Kardashev Scale see this link
http://futurism.com/the-kardashev-scale-type-i-ii-iii-iv-v-civilization/

While this scale of civilization is related to energy, it also requires that the civilization solve unity issues that limits their technology.
These limits are much of what this topic is about.

Right now, the people of Earth have the technology to alleviate many of the worlds problems. Why don't we?
World hunger, clean drinking water, housing and medical care problems could be solved but are not. Wealth, power and greed prevents it.
Human beings are social animals. Yet we fight among ourselves because of our prejudices and inability to accept change. Our connection with our fellow human beings is lost, jumbled.

If you want equality, remove wealth and power.
If you want to advance to the next level of unity, accept change.

What stops us from building hospitals, schools, rocket ships, transportation networks, desalination plants, global greenhouses and a long list of things the people all over the planet need or could benefit from?

Money, Greed, Power, Entitlements

Could we exist as a global society with one president?
No borders, unified as a single entity working towards a better tomorrow?
What stops us?

Ps: Ohhhhh ....THAT button!

My country is too small to have access to those Buttons, but lets put Trump in charge of that.

He seems to know what he's doing rofl rofl rofl
