As far as sanctuary cities....how is that different than harboring fugitives?

Why is it all other countries have strict immigration laws but we can't

We do have strict immigration laws.

I have gone through the immigration process.

I wish we had the same restrictions that Mikey says they have across the big pond. Illegals are an issue and we get criticised for it. An illegal is illegal. I know many that are here legally. I applaud them. Not the illegals or those harboring illegals. Too many ❄

We do have the same restrictions and more.

The US has land borders with Mexico and Canada and Mexicans and Canadians have to follow 'immigration' laws.

England, on the other hand, has land borders with Scotland and Wales, and all three countries are part of the UK so no 'immigration' rules apply.

The immigration across the pond is primarily enforcing and regulating travel that requires travel through air or waters, and our immigration policies for such matters is similar.
