I want to dual boot Vista with Ubuntu. Is there anyone out there that can help me? We would probably have to meet at a cafe so you make sure I'm hitting the right buttons.

Don't know if a meeting is possible or feasible but you can find many online guides to be printed out if you need step by step instructions.

Dual boot is nice, but if you have enough resources, you can use a virtual machine to run both at the same time.

this one is free
you do need lots of ram and a good cpu

I'm getting ready to go so I'll say the virtual route is great for testing software on various platforms simultaneously. You can save your state by simply copying and renaming the image so you can experiment and break everything then just go to your backup. Great with external hard drives, carry your linux with you and just put qemu or VMWare on the new machine and start it up.

OH ok try this http://wubi-installer.org/ its called WUBI

You are going to want to install a loopback setup.
it can be done it the same partition.
keyword loopback. try wubi though it makes it a breeze!!
