Are we so full of ourselves now, that we think we can challenge the Animal Kingdom?...
Michael Phelps tried to outswim a Great White Shark... and they made it appear that he almost won...
My goldfish could've beat him, and I flushed him down the drain 20 years ago.

I heard about that race but didn't see it. I was wondering why the shark wouldn't just eat him.. a snack and removes the competition all in one bite..

Perhaps the shark didn't know he was in a competition?

It's not something I would do, but I respect anyone who dares to challenge himself to be better. Even if he lost, Im sure he is a better athlete for it :)

Of course it depends on the type of shark one attempts to race...
I'm sure we can all beat the Greenland Shark, clocked at "1" mph.smile2

Historians note: humans have been challenging non-humans since as far back as we know. Granted, not on national television, or internet streaming, but nevertheless.

I heard something about this, and my first thought ahead of it went way back. "Al Capone's Vault." April 21, 1986. Geraldo Rivera had a two hour special, all about how awful Al Capone was, and how they had found this huge brick and concrete sealed "vault" in the basement under one of Capones main hangouts. The whole thing was a lead up to what they hoped would be the discovery of the grisly remains of some murdered gangsters, or some long hidden millions in old currency.

After two hours of grandstanding nonsense from Rivera, the "vault"was finally breached, and lo and behold: construction debris.
