the pleak in the world from the u s point

is that the parents of today

were raised on the transfer of discipline ideas

and now that the radical passive disciplinarians

have gained so much control

the youth of today do not see the consequence

of their actions therefore they do harsher

and harsher things as each generation ages

unless something is done to curb this

in another 30 years it will be like a mad max

movie of sorts it already is in some places

but hey what do i know

Planetary health wise you're absolutly right. But some things in the future look pretty darn cool, cars that drive themselves, robotic maids, private space travel, hell they say now that even time travel will be a reality eventualy. But of course, that's if we make it that far. The unpredictable, but possibly devestating results of climate change could do us in;^[

I agree, and disagree...

These children are the future ambassadors... the future leaders... the scientists, the poets, the governors, the society.

These children that we are raising, if given the opportunity to be all of themselves, are more globally aware than previous generations.

When they are 'forced' to adhere to out dated religions, and ways of doing things, they become despondent.

They may inherit a shadow of her former glory, in this earth,... but I have faith in our young people, they have a higher consciousness, than most adults already.

We should not underestimate the next generation.
I have to admit that some of them are quite wild, but that is not their fault alone, they are formed by the world they grew up in.
But most of them are more aware of the problems in the world than we have been at their age. They are far more open than our generation has ever been (well, most of us anyway).
They do not take things lightly, and if they teach their children well, then there is hope.

The next generation is a product of their parents. In some ways I think that the laws and government are overstepping their bounds and putting limits, but control starts in the home. If the parent is not consistant in their discipline, morals, or values as they teach their child, then it is sending them a mixed message. Of course they are going to go "wild" so to speak, they're not seeing the consequenses. Children learn from what they see, what they experience. The biggest problem is that the next generation is coming from kids. Young adults that are old enough to procreate, but don't really know how to take the responsibility of it, who haven't matured, and worse yet, so young, their life is just starting itself. JMO.

Some of the kids are fricken amazing!!!!! Yes, there are kids who have to go through the hard times early due to parents that are absent or both parents have to work and the schools and daycares end up raising them, but they will be okay if they survive. The economy of "two incomes to live" is at fault for alot of this. My children were in this age range of these latchkey kids, always at school or daycare, weekends spent making up housework and homework, yes, they had the problems that go along with this life. They will be okay though.bigsmile

i agree,i think kids today need more disciplin.they need to be taught if they do something wrong, they won't get away with it.when i was a kid,ADD wasn't a common thing but now pretty much every kid has ADD.i think that's just a way for the drug companies to make more money because 1/2 the kids i know that supposively have ADD,if the parents would teach them disciplin,i think it would give rid of their ADD.
