Do you need to be needed or just want to be wanted? Or maybe you want to be needed and need to be wanted?
There is a big difference in the two. I don't need a man, I'm more than capable of taking care of myself, but I want one. Is that enough? |

My Opinion:
Once you are with a person, in the areas of material things, finance, etc. it's not a necessity. Its an area that an independant, strong individual can provide for him/her self. However, I feel that everyone need something from another person friend or significant other. Love, Emotional support, Encouragement, etc. These are things that as human beings, "Need". |

I want to be wanted, and need someone who wants to be wanted.

If I wasn't with my gf, id say want more then need. Need is to strong of a word for me and can put things out of place.

I need it to be such a strong want that they can mistake it for need... but not a psychotic need....
I want to be needed and need to be wanted... I think that would pretty much cover it... |

I try to shy away from thinking about what I want. I'll kill myself wanting all the time.

Love, Emotional support, Encouragement, etc. These are things that as human beings, "Need". That is so true. Unfortunately, you can learn to do without it, when you spend your life never getting those things.

Good topic misswright! I told an ex that I didn't need him, that I would never need him or any other man, but that I wanted him in my life and that ought to make all the difference in the world. Nope. Only time I EVER saw that man cry. He needs to be needed.

Nope. Only time I EVER saw that man cry. He needs to be needed. Not me. I want to be wanted, not needed. That was my last relationship. Same thing. He "needed" me, why couldn't I "need" him? Wanting wasn't good enough. My mom raised me to never need a man. Funny, the guy's still breathing last I knew, guess he didn't need me after all, just wanted me real bad.
