I'm pretty sure most people can watch YouTube videos on their devices.
For the past few days I've been watching movies on youtube and I am pretty impressed with the quantity and selection of full length movies that are free to watch. While some are in foreign language and some are terrible quality, there are enough good quality, english language movies available for free. Here is a list of movies I have watched on YouTube, some are syfy original and some are full miniseries from the BBC. If you find yourself waiting or just bored, you can use this list to find something to watch. There is a chance the video may not be there. There is a chance that it may be country or ISP restricted. If you find a movie you enjoyed, go ahead and add to the list. Even if it is a duplicate but a different uploader. Same with full episodes of your favorite TV Shows. |

The Triangle

Battle in Seattle (2007)

Beyond the several delegates, career protesters are also coming to Seattle, they who believe the non-elected organization only exists to support corporate interests at the expense of the poor, working class and the environment among other things. Before the conference, the lead known protesters vow that their demonstrations will be peaceful, while Seattle Mayor Jim Tobin promises that if that be the case that no arrests will be made and no aggressive action, such as the use of tear gas, will be issued. On day one of the conference, tensions on both sides escalate the confrontation between police and protesters, with many innocent people caught in the crossfire. As such, what was promised ends up not happening during the remainder of the conference, where many on both sides work not for the greater good of their side, but rather for their own personal interests because of their experience on day one. These battles outside the official conference are not the only ones happening in Seattle, as many of the conference delegates, such as Doctors Without Borders and those from some of the poorer nations, try to get across the point of many of the protesters - albeit in a more diplomatic method - while seemingly ignored by those in the upper echelon of the organization. You know Tom, I was actually thinking of asking for technical advice in the appropriate forum...but since you brought it up...
I'm a big fan of YOUTUBE! Before I moved I worked a swing shift. Often when my comrades and I got off at midnight we would go to my house and unwind taking turns looking up obscure (mostly music videos and movie quotes) on my new SONY "Smart TV". I personally like travel shows too (Rick Steves, Anthony Bordain, etc.) in my alone time. Since moving I have been getting the message "YOUTUBE is no longer supported by this device". Any suggestions? |

Not long ago (relatively) YouTube changed their video format from flash to WebM. I Think WebM is what is messing with your Tv file types.
I was having issues playing YouTube, and Netflix videos on my 7000 series Samsung. I went into my TV settings and checked my time zone and current time. Time zone was set incorrectly. Once I changed it to my local time zone I stopped having issues! YouTube wirked fine until about mid December 2016 when it began giving me a blank gray screen. All else was fine. No other app problems. Nothing worked to fix my problem, so out came that Fire Stick again. I had plugged it into HDMI port 4, fiered it up, signed in and found the Youtube app on it. Now I eave it there on the Yutube app. On the Samsung Smart Hub that pops up on the bottom of my TV screen, I renamed the HDMI4 input port YOUTUBE and moved it near the things I use often. So, now I have a quick way to YouTube, just as if the app worked. Also, it is nice that the TV remote works with the Fire Stick so I don't need to use the Fire Stick remote. Since the Fire Stick sells for only $39.99, I consider this an acceptable solution after having spend about $1,000 on the TV. The most likely issue is the web site changed and is no longer compatible with this Smart TV. WebM was adopted because it has a smaller file type signature. I have downloaders that used to be able to handle flash and html video but can't handle webm file types. WebM is an audiovisual media file format. It is primarily intended to offer a royalty-free alternative to use in the HTML5 video and the HTML5 audio tags. It has a sister project WebP for images. The development of the format is sponsored by Google, and the corresponding software is distributed under a BSD license. What you probably need to do is find an app that reads webm files and download it to your TV browser. This is easier said than done. I have Gom Player which can be upgraded to read webm files. You MIGHT be able to download a third party viewer like GOM and load the videos in that to display on your smart TV. However, I only deal with a PC computer to view youtube videos and my browser (Waterfox) already reads webm files. Not knowing the manufacturer of your Smart TV hampers my ability to advise you.
