Well, it's a given that anyone's list will be very subjective and that everyone's criteria may differ. That being said, my list is based on what I believe to be truly scary (as opposed to gory) movies - at least at the time they were released - ones that stuck with you long after the viewing. Not necessarily in order but as I can think of them The Exorcist Ju-on (The Grudge) Jaws Night of the Living Dead Psycho  OT : watch all these flicks while sharing a gallon of ice cream in the basement
