Hi ho, hi ho, it's back to work I go ......... Night at the brothel? oh, how language takes on different meanings through the years. LOL I watch a lot of old movies on TCM - from the 1920's up through the 1950's - gay is used often as its original definition. Fun, light hearted, cheerful.

I'm a Turner Classics devotee. I was shocked with one movie, from the 30's, with 4 women headed to Las Vegas on a train. They referred to themselves as "girls from the hood'. I suppose nothing is really new.
