Topic: My Beer Was Cleaning Fluid

When I have beer I usually chug two quickly.
The first one was fine but as I started to chug the second, I noticed a burning in my throat and felt sick.
I stopped and smelled the beer and it smelled like drain cleaner?
About a minute later, after I poured it out, I started vomiting.
I vomited over and over till there was nothing left in my stomach.
Today, I still feel sick from it.

I did a search and found this article.

Man drinks beer then vomits blood because of cleaner in the tap line
http://www.craftbrewingbusiness.com/featured/man-drinks-beer-vomits-blood-cleaner-tap-line-avoid-types-lawsuits/

In Massachusetts, a woman suffered throat burns after a distributor failed to flush out the caustic solution used to clean tap lines. An Ohio man alleged that he suffered burns to his mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach, and intestines, and was required to have parts of several internal organs surgically removed after drinking contaminated beer.

I guess I was lucky because I must not have got a pure dose.
I'm able to drink my coffee but I feel sick and I can smell the cleaning fluid in the trash can where I threw the can.

I'm wondering how many people get sick like this from trusting bottling standards by big name brewing companies?
I don't think I ingested lye.
It smells more like Toluene (paint thinner).
I tossed the rest of the 6 pack.

Wow..you don't think you need medical attention, right?
I see a lawsuit coming from those cases you mentioned, if they don't just blo it off...

Its not as bad as the people in the article, I don't think it was lye.
It smells like paint thinner.
I don't really eat much of anything anymore.
I took out a steak to thaw for dinner tonight.
I won't really know if there is serious problems till I try to eat something.
I have no appetite so I won't eat till tonight only because I haven't really ate much of anything for the past 3 days.
I looked on the internet and there are people that make alcohol out of paint thinner, seems crazy to me.

I no longer trust brewers for quality products.
If I have another beer, I'm going to smell it and sample taste it before I swallow it from now on. I'm certainly not going to be buying anything from Anheuser-Busch.

I thought about lawsuits and what would be needed for proof.

The problem is, once you open the can they can say you put the caustic fluid in there and drank it by accident or on purpose.
The only way to prove it was a canning issue is to have an unopened can, opened and its contents tested by a court representative as evidence.
This requires that there is some way to tell if a can is contaminated without opening it. You can't test the entire production.

Most people will just say YUK, throw it away and vomit, like I did.

Anything Anheuser-Busch makes is swill/ horse pi**...
If you can afford British/ Irish ales...or microbrewer stuff...stick to those..
I dabbled in home brewing some time back...it's tricky to get it right..
After several bad batches I gave up...

I went to the grocery store last night for some steak and pork chops and figured its been a while and picked up a 6 of Busch Light and a 4 pack of Rolling Rock.

I can't stand Budweiser and can only just tolerate Michelob.
I like Rolling Rock and Mickeys.

We have beer stores that carry large selections of imported beers. One in Waveland claims to have over 200 different kinds of beer from all over the world and can order you what you want (you will pay a lot for it tho). Most sixes are $9.99. Some are as high as $15.99.

I don't really drink a lot of beer like I did when I was younger.
Not much alcohol at all really. I do have a fully stocked liquor cabinet tho. I also stock an assortment of wines and mixers.

When I have beer, I drink two really fast after I take my night meds.
It seems to make them work better somehow?
That's what I was doing last night.
I vomited up my night meds and after I stabilized my system with some water and milk I retook my meds. I then had a Rolling Rock right before I went to the bedroom. It was fine.

I posted this topic as a warning to others to be careful when drinking beer from the major brewers. Incompetence is everywhere.

I'm sure he's probably already tried/ aware of that..
Those of us with sleep difficulties have tried various things...
Myself, i have some type of amped-up prescription Benadryl that seems to be working, for *now*...
But, one does what works best for them....ain't my place to judge...
