He is 69 and has another child 18.

I realized this is more common among Movie stars.

The "TALK " in conversation many hosts said, it's ok to be an Old father.

How about just in real life ?

I had an old boyfriend (from back in 1980) that I stayed in contact with over the years (in music..it's not hard)..

I think he tried to get something going with me again in the late 90's, but..as i was already with someone..I either didn't notivce the "hint", or shrugged it off..
Anyway.
He e-mails me one day in 2001 to tell me the girl he'd met over the summer...she was pregnant, and they were getting married.
He was 50...and had never had kids...always claimed he really didn't want to..(he was married in the late 80's to the mid 90's).
I said, quite naturally "was this expected? or was it an accident and you *have to* marry her? Because you will be near 70 when the kid graduates high school.."
(because, as long-time friends..I thought I could be honest, ya know?)

Never heard from him again....LOL

Yeah, i am blunt sometimes, but..those who know me *know that*, so...I don't know what he expected....

They went on to have another kid...and are still married..

Had a sister-in-law (from my ex)..who, even though she was already a grandma (she got pregnant at 16...and her daughter had *her* first kid at 17)...when she got married again..for the *third* time...decided she needed to have yet *another kid with the new husband (even though both already had several kids from prior marriages)

I don't get WHY people think they need to produce a child with *everyone* they marry....when they already have two or more...
It's like "hey..let's see what our genetics will make.."

That is an interesting story about your man friend. His new wife must have been much younger than him!

I don understand why people want to have children at a late age either, when one or both have children already.

However, all People are different and want different things. So they make their own choices in life.

Yes, she was younger..in her late 30's...
They had the one, then immediatly had the other...both girls...
They take after their dad WRT talent.. :-)
