Does any one else get asked to go there or somewhere else. I'm new here and it kind of creeps me out because I don't even know these people.

I was going to suggest that you two start messaging each other, but this was entertaining to watch. If you do go to PM you should at least keep us all updated. bigsmile

We're just too far a part for that level of intimacy. Although i'm sure she's a lovely person.

When someone asks you to go to some other site or text them, you are giving them your email address or cell number. When they want that right away, usually they are scammers and need to be turned in. That personal information is a saleable commodity.

Eventually I would also be asking you to join me on a different site - I prefer Hangouts. That is because of the limits of using Mingle software. It is not friendly to IM which is the norm now with smart phones - 1 or 2 lines and then send the message; with email, this makes for a slow, drawn out communication. Mingle is also useless when trying to send pictures.

I also use throw away addresses for email and Hangouts so if it is compromised, I just delete the account. That protects my accounts that I use for good friends, family, and business contacts by NOT sharing those addresses.

sorry fritz but if the first message is let's leave the site then 99.9999 % probability it is.
going somewhere more usable after building reasonable trust is a totally different thing

Well yes, I get these as well. First messages giving out snapchat names, or email addresses and asking you to contact them for "sexy times".

But I would think that these would be pretty darn obvious. The profiles are usually deactivated not long after.

I'm talking about people who ask for these things after at least several messages have been exhanged. Nothing worse than when a conversation is going well and then you're suddenly called a "creep" just for requesting another method of contact.

Honestly, there are scammers who do exactly what you described above.

I've personally been down that road before. That's why I won't go offsite now for anyone whom I'm not 100% positive is not a scammer. If there is even 0.00001% of doubt, I'll do some background checking first. And if that creeps them out, it's no skin off my nose. I'm just doing my due diligence.

after the third "response" from a lady, BOOM, lets go to hang outs. i know mingle doesn't offer much in protection, if you go off site, but lets face it, they don't use the so called filters that would catch the trash anyway. your concerns must be answered by your own self here. we are all adults, most of which want to find a special some one. so do the trolls, except they want your money or untraceable gift cards. some has mentioned they want your information; face it, any good person with computer skills already know of you. i have found, unlike those of this group, who rather stay in the group forums, that as a whole, singularly are on our own. now i spend my time, instead of trying to find a soulmate, i like to play with the fakers. i love p***ing them off, calling me "fake"...i love bot on bot conversations; better than sex. if you want to really connect with me, do so thru the site. we are adults, i think you can have real conversations, and find the truth in it.
