As an older gentleman that well understands the part about satisfying your partner, I don't think I have ever in nearly 60 years had a woman tell me what gave her pleasure; it has always been hit or miss and hope for some positive response. It seems that many people are incapable of sharing their sexual likes and desires with a partner. I don't know if it is their upbringing or their fear of either offending or being harshly judged for their desires that is the problem!!

Did you bother to ask?
Probably not in general terms but sometimes for specific likes or dislikes. Those questions are very personal and it is something that your partner should express when they are comfortable; that is like asking someone if they are gay or lesbian. When was the last time you were in bed and asked your partner if they were gay or bi? Probably never!

I still think you should at least try asking - probably while the two of you are in bed to together -if she can't open up then she probably never will, but it's worth a shot! winking

T.Roy - oh how I recognize so much of that story!! It seems like women go through menopause and some come out with a great desire for sex while others come out just the opposite. Mental health issues really cause even more of those problems.

I don't think most men have any comprehension of what menopause and women's hormone imbalances are like at that time or after.

Hormones are funny things..

There is a LOT of factors that contribute to a woman's sex drive....some are medical, some are mental (possible resentment of her partner for whatever reason)..

Not all older women lose it.....each one is different...

Would you guys like it if women said ALL men are jerks/ asholes/players, because those are what they have met so far/ run across?
No.

Then don't base your opinion on older women on the ones *you* have so far run across....

I don't believe there is any reference in the posts that reference "all women". I believe it even said something about different women react differently to menopause.

It seems like the old bait and switch. In the beginning everything is great. Trying all these positions and letting it all hang out (pardon the pun). Then after a bit comes all the excuses, work, kids, tired and on and on. If you were to by a car and really loved the car you’ll go and buy the parts needed to keep it running and looking great. When the car finally doesn’t give you what it did in the beginning I guess it’s time to get a new one.
