contrary to what the OP would have you believe,this shutdown is ENTIRELY on Donald trump!!!! and,unfortunately for HIM,he claimed it,and owned it on camera,so anybody who doesn't have the attention span of a goldfish wont believe his lies when he tries to pass the buck off on to somebody else,so he doesn't have to take responsibility for his actions,like he has done for his entire life. and,he will not hesitate to continue to behave like a spoiled child throwing a temper tantrum to try to get his way,because that is what he has done for his entire life,and can not comprehend acting in any other way,no matter who else it hurts,because other people's pain does not matter to him,because he is ONLY focuses on what HE wants. and,i guess I oan't blame trump's supporters for trying to PRETEND like the reality of this shutdown isn't entirely on the shoulders of the person that THEY elected,and want to support,at all costs,no matter WHO it hurts... I would be too ashamed to admit it too!!!! but,the moral of this story is...when you double down on stupidity,even when you WIN,the prize is STLL STUPIDITY!!! [even RATS have enough common sense to leave a sinking ship!!! ] But were talking about braiwashed rats here !

Bush 41: we have a border crisis. Clinton 42: we have a border crisis. Bush 43: we have a border crisis. Obama 44: we have a border crisis. HRC (candidate): we have a border crisis. Trump: we have a border crisis. Lets build a wall and end the crisis. Democrat's and Media: OMG, trump manufactured the boarder crisis! FWIW, I have videos of all the presidents (Bush 41 to Obama 44 and Hillary) stating we have a boarder problem and need to limit illegal aliens. Now they are espousing open boarders. Hippocracy. You want hypocrisy? How about why none of THOSE Presidents raised hell about having a wall?? Can't blame it on Democrats havng a majority..they didn't during all* that time..the Republicans had it for quite a while..so, why all of a sudden is this an emergency?? There have been several bills supported by democrats that authorized a barrier along parts of the border. Call it a wall, a fence, or a vehicle barrier but some has been built. I believe Obama and the democrats had a majority for 2 years. That is how the ACA got passed. I think Clinton might have had one also.

Same as a wall, fence , barrier , what ever, that's one of the stall tactics the dems. are famous for. even Latinos that are here legally want a barrier, why because those are the jobs the illegal immigrants will be going after. Please tell me how many citizens being killed or raped by illegals is enough before you see a crisis , or how much crap int the streets along w/ homeless clogging the cities is enough to make you want to do something. Or maybe democrats like living in that kind of filth. Just saying.

Obviously some of you are never, ever going to take the immigration problems seriously and understand what steps can be taken to help resolve the problems. Stick to your talking points memos without real thought or understanding. We've seen this play out multiple times in Washington with no resolution; just playing politics with the lives of both immigrants and US citizens.

If you do research..you'll find that, based on actual population...Hispanics commit the least amount of crimes. Based on actual population, blacks commit the most crimes. Why aren't you for banning black people? 2. Most homeless are white dudes...or black....do your research.

Please tell me how someone's document status determine whether they will be a rapist or killer or how a barrier will do anything to dent the number of killings and rapes we have in the USA. Please explain to me how, even with decreasing numbers of illegals entering and BEING in the USA over the past decade, we have not made a DENT in the murder and rapes in the USA. Tell me how illegals are to blame for homelessness and how investing in a barrier is the best solution to curb those numbers rather than investing in the economy and the workforce and housing environment? or maybe Trump is right, he could kill someone and his supporters would feel he was MAGA, and he can really push his brand better by greatly exploiting things people are already prone to believe. just saying.

I think it would be nice to be logical about what the immigration 'problems' actually are. Until there is agreement on that, not much progress will be made.

I see more kids being killed in schools from weapons that should never be allowed to be sold to the public then i see "illegal immagrants" killing citizens? Keep up the good work Mrs.Pelosi ! I see us as having more of a mental health 'CRISIS' of natural borns than any CRISIS from across the border. Id love to see the day they shut down the government to INSIST upon better funding for mental health facilities and caretakers. but that aint gonna happen, why should it? Its those dangon undocumented immigrants we need to feel urgent danger from ... right?

There are many problems in our country that Congress has been unwilling to deal with. They are more interested in pandering to their base and getting reelected than solving problems. Possible solutions include term limits, Congressional rules that require bipartisanship, and pressure from their electors. Unfortunately, we have become more polarized and unwilling to even understand the other side's position. Neither side is going to just give in so unless they find a different solution the shutdown will continue.

Yep, I could say the same thing about Obama/Pelosi and MSNBC. IF Congress could actually pass something with a substantial bipartisan vote, Trump would probably sign it.

On local news station tonight, they interviewed a womann, who is on the SNAP program. (Food Stamps) She receives 200.00 a month. The benefit maybe cut out in March. She does not know what she will do, if that happens. Needy People will suffer, because Thousands of Lazy people have abused the System for Years . Not everything is Trump's fault. Democrats spend and borrow causing huge debts for US. Doing Nothing to grow Economy.
