How would this become reality ., rather than a utopian ideal ???.. . Are you suggesting a legal enforcement of respect and protection of values /morals???? Sounds more like another form of social control .

I think it may work similar to the rights of capitalism, the way people can 'choose' what type of services or goods to sell or buy. I generally believe the intent to include everyone in everything all the time is noble on its front, but the opposite of 'freedom' in its practice. I read recently that a school was omitting students from certain scholarships for participating in all girl sororities or all boy fraternities. That type of 'freedom' is frowned upon as being not 'inclusive' enough. When we start mandating who people have to fraternize or socialize with in their social circles, whether it be due to sex, religion, or politics, that is not FREEDOM.

When we tell people what service or good they have to market in, that is also not freedom. I do think if we have mutual respect for the boundaries people set in their own ethics and behaviors, it may be a start.

Freedom was NEVER free.
Someone, some where paid dearly.

However, one must also understand that freedom in their country may be based on other circumstances.
its really hard for an American citizen to understand the actual intricacies of freedom.

A post like this thread is slanted towards a different agenda.
Its not about freedom as much as it is about choice.
The choice to unite as a common species.

The problem is, our nature.

Our nature has created a race of individuals.
We have to actually agree on these issues but the issues are oblique.
For much of the world, the issue needing attn from this OP are not a priority.
There always seems to be something that gets in the way.

I can't tell anyone how to believe or how to act in those beliefs.
While it may work for me, others will take offense.
Then you have the fact that anyone that is different is automatically wrong.
Assertion might be a given in some circles but it is not realistic.

Its all a matter of agreement.
Agreement that solidifies a select few.
The thing is, none of this is reasonable based on the information provided.

I suggest we make a deal between the religious and nonreligious, by respecting both freedom of religion and freedom of sex, without judging each other.

Though I am not sure what an individual would do if sides gave each other the hypno-eye.

Thoughts?

If you need spend a moment of your life,
worrying what random strangers 'might' think...

You're probably doing it wrong.
