About a week ago, my mothers dog Friend began limping on her rear left leg. We thought nothing of it at first, but then got worried when she was unable to climb the stairs or to even chase her tail (one of her fav. games). We took her to the vet a couple days ago & I don't remember what the condition is called, but it's a condition in her knee common in older dogs. The vet says it won't get much better and any progress will end in the condition getting worse. She's an old dog at about 10 years, so I know her time is short & to say that she's been a blessing to my family would be an understatement. So please, join with me in praying for her minimal suffering and endurance of my family. Thank you everybody and God bless;^]

Sorry; it's always upsetting when an animal is sick. I'm real sorry -- you're in my prayers.

That kind of thing happened to my fav dog ever. He was a husky and his rear hip went out. It was so bad that he couldn't walk up the stairs and he would cry. It made me so sad to see that and when I tried to help him up he would growl at me I guess because it hurt. So I had to pick him up and carry him up the stairs. It was sad but I am thankful that the vet gave him a peaceful ending....He could no longer live his life.

I'll pray for you and your dog. I know how much it hurts.

Yup, we had a Dane once who's hip went out, for big dogs like Danes and Huskies that's a really big problem. I felt bad putting him to sleep, I just didn't want him to suffer anymore.

Thanks again everybody, my mom says to thank you as well. God bless you all;^]
