Actually a bit of sinfulness in telling this picture but shows that most politicians would rather maintain the status quo than put their shoulders behind the wheel and lift the country.

India did get an amazingly good start with the first PM, Nehru; fifties and early sixties (like JFK's space vision) modernizing India. Then dynastic politics took it's toll. Nehru's weakness was hoisting his daughter int politics and suddenly all politicians got interested in their kids succeeding them. The Country was their playground. George Orwell's Animal Farm (banned in India then).

Seems as if the masses have finally woken up.

Yeah, it's a shame,India is a beautiful country in some places, and a lot of wonderful history there. But the pols ruin everything.
