Tomorrow Never Knows from Revolver 1966

1 chord song.
first use of tape loops or "samples" ,tape manipulation & various tape speeds &
backward recorded guitar

LSD inspired but reportedly recorded sober

cool! I didn't know that. I'ma check it out.

I just found out that David Crosby was at the studio When the song was being recorded, and said by the last note, his brain was on the floor.

I think you'll find that was 'rain', by the same band though

"Tomorrow Never Knows" sessions were April 6 & 7,1966.

"Rain" sessions were a week later April 14 & 16 1966.This i believe was the Beatles first use of backwards vocals not guitar.

same acid vibe ,you're right.
Both songs part of Revolver sessions but non album track "Rain" released as B side to "Paperback Writer"

You might be right, I could be wrong
But I base my statement, on an interview I saw with George Martin
According to him, rain was first. And that tiny section at the end, was the first time he knew, that that, had been done. And I believe he also went on to say, that there would have been, no tommorow never knows, if it had not been, for those few seconds of rain
The interview was something to do with the anniversary if apple studios, I believe

Anyway, its high on impossible to choose a favourite Beatles song
But seen as my dad, had tons of outtakes, way before many were released, and still haven't been
Including all of bobs basement tapes, yes, I know they've released more now, but they still ain't releases them all I believe
Then I will be forced to pick, the session track of strawberry fields, which is just John and acoustic guitar
I believe that's available now, hope it counts:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I don't know
John usually played lead, and George generally played rhythm
But 3 of them could play a few different things
And I think it's generally accepted, that George was the best musician, he could play the most instruments, and probably better than the others
I think his parents were music teachers, or at least 1 of them was
