Good Morning all, Christmas this year isn't going to be great for me and my family either. My work just put a garnishment on my check, I had no idea it was going to happen. How could they do this right before Christmas???????????????? $300 per check. That is ridiculous. I'm fighting it. Don't know who it's from or anything. But, I look at things like this: We are all alive and for the most part healthy. We have our problems, but, there are so many others in this world with worst situations than mine. I try to keep positive. My girls are teenagers, so they understand what I'm going throught now. As long as we are all together, and I cook a good meal, all will be happy in my house. Take care and God Bless all. Just keep a positive outlook.flowerforyou flowerforyou

Christmas seems to magnify problems. Hang in there and look for a more positive 2008.

I'm there with you Kater, split with my ex-bf (of over 3 years) a few weeks ago. Hard to be alone this time of year.

Did ANYBODY read my comment????????????????????? Look, we ALL have our problems. I don't have a tree, decorations, NOTHING. And I had to pay bills as well. I'm a single mom with NO HELP from nowhere except MY JOB. Thank God, I have a good job. But, now with this garnishment, I have no money to buy gifts. But, Like I said, we all have each other and are in decent health, expect for a few problems. Just think about how many other ppl in this world that don't even have a home or any family or NOTHING at all. We all should be grateful we have what we have.

Christmas is a very odd time of year, For one thing I think we all expect it to be more then it is ! But also it is a very sad or happy time, over the years I have had the sad times with little money and no friends or family (My own doing) I now think as long as you have just one or two good friends or some family you don't need a whole lot of money
They say Christmas is a time of giving, but the main thing to give is love ! don't worry if you cannot give the kids $200 or $300 trainers (as many expect) Love and a smaller gift will do.

Happy Christmas to you all.

Mossop, I couldn't agree with you more. That's the point I've been trying to get across. And lets not forget the real, true meaning of Christmas. I think a lot of ppl have forgotten why we even have it.

You are right sweet...as long as we have each other and our health that's what counts.

very much agree with you, we don't need things to get us by, as long as we are healthy, happy, have a roof over our head and can get by we have it made and if you have all that and then some, then consider the extra just a bonus to your life! yes their are a lot of people who don't have nearly the stuff we have and just to have a 1% of what we have would probably make their world, this is a time to give not to necessarily receive.

That's what I'm talking about guys. We can't dwell on what we DON'T have. Think about all we DO have. I have to do some work now, so I'l talk to you guys later. NOW, everyone put a BIG SMILE on your faces and have a wonderful day. OK?????????????

True meaning of Christmas, yes a great many people have no Idea.
When I was a younger man I spent a few Christmas and New Years in what was then called the Eastern Bloc, People had little or no money the gift was still there but just a token gift that on the whole was made at home or by a family member, as for food people needed to cut down on the little they had for about three months before the Christmas and New Year Then people got together and pooled what they had......I do think for that short time they had more enjoyment then most of us.

I would like to add that at one time a family give me an invite....I will never forget ! Super.
