His Awaken

When he cares for you yet can't come to you
because the guilt in his heart won't allow him to,

When he's living a life that he can't defend
because of the lies that he holds within

When he's hurting in silence and his pride is the pilot
what's left of him to hold on,

When he's afraid to let you in for fear of self-exposure
because he aches to hold you closer and wishes he had chose you,

When he awakes one day to realize the errors of his ways
only then will he realize the greatest value of his loss...
