Debbie - does your doctor know you are not eating and not taking your meds?? You need to let your doctor know how you are feeling, maybe it is a side effect of the med that makes you feel that way, and the doctor needs to be aware of what is going on. You need to keep some food in your system. Allen's idea is a good one about the chicken broth, Lipton's chicken noodle soup with the little noodles always worked for my daughter when she didn't feel good, and helps keep the electrolytes in your body normalized with the salt in it, also Gatorade is good if you are not eating because of the electrolytes in it. Try jello or something like that that is light and tastes good. But you do need to contact your doctor to let him know you are not eating. Take care of yourself.

Roy - Brrrrr, got a cold butt just thinking about you putting on your cold clothing. Maybe put them in the oven on warm. I agree, need to get your dryer fixed. I have done things like put on damp clothes and go to work because for some reason the dryer didn't dry them all the way or the dryer was broken and I had them hanging around the house on chairs, etc. Brought back memories. Keep them inside tonight on chairs is my recommendation, much warmer on the behind in the mornings.

Debbie - you really need to go to your doctor and find out what is going on. Lack of food and sleep will reek havoc on your body, it will throw your electrolytes out of whack which controls everything including your heart beating and your brain chemistry. I really do think you need to go to your doctor and get some help. I hope you do so you can get something to feel better. Take care of yourself, the human body only puts up with so much before it starts to malfunction.

I agree with Marie. I started a job that threw my body out of wack cuz I didnt have time to eat right, wasnt drinking enough water then I drank too much water and through all that my electrolytes reeked havoc....I had to quit. Took me while to figure it all out. I drank gatorade in equal parts to water, ate better, even if I just drank some broth and felt better within a day or so, but took a few days to really get better. Ok, so you've had the advice and the caring, are you going to do something about it? I do hope so.

Had a great meeting even though there was only four addicts. Made the coffee because the lady that opened up didn't know how to make it. Making coffee can be challenging but over the years I have learned how to use many different types of coffee pots. Had a great discussion with a lady there. Got to discuss the minimal requirement of being able to be honest with one's self and how important that is. For many addicts to be honest with others is advanced recovery. All we ask is just honesty with self. With that at least recovery has a chance of success. We call it the seed that can grow with willingness and open-mindedness. Wanting recovery leads to willingness and that opens the door for open-mindedness. Eventually to be honest with others is built upon trust in one's self and the faith that self-reliance brings with being able to be honest with one's self. Communication with other addicts in recovery opens many doors that seemed closed before. Got to listen to a lady's relapse and recovery story. She was grateful for her relapse because it brought about a spiritual experience in her actually accepting the first step. She let me know that she had set herself up by the relapse and the true recovery stopped all of the voices and head trips. She got to learn the true freedom from the disease by admitting her relapse and how she had created her own problem. She trusts recovery now more than doctor scripts.flowerforyou

Mommy, I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having. Have you tried calling local churches to see if they will help you catch up on the payments? Sometimes they have funds to help, heck try the Salvation Army. I would call anybody and everybody, every little bit you can get from any agency/organization would help. Maybe if you could get them some money by Wednesday, they would back off and give you some more time. I wish I could help, but I don't have it either. Try all your family members too. Amazing how they do this during the holiday season too. Roy is right, they will turn around and sell it and then want you to make up the difference. I have given back a car in the past and they did that to me.

Take care of yourself and I hope we all have a better New Year, we sure do deserve it.

THe Savation army couldnt help, and the trustee's office said no also... I will try callin the local churches tomorrow and see if they can help me at all or maybe tell me where to go.

and thank you to all that wish they could help, you dont know what that means to me, but I don't know if I could take it from you, even if you had it to give.

Happy New Year to everyone, It HAS to be better this year! for all of us!!!!!!

Just wish we could do more Mommy. It is a hard place to be in. A lot of us have been in similar places, that is why we wish we could help. There are programs out there, you just need to track them down. Our area has a Community Action Program and they help with referrals to programs, also pay for prescriptions and some gas vouchers, the food bank, and they sponsor cabins for people who are homeless to stay in, allow them 90 days to stay there totally free and then even help them find a rental and help them pay the rent and deposit to get them re-established. It really is a good program. I hope you can find something in your area. If you weren't so far away, I have a big house and live alone. But I would call all the churches in the phone book, many of them help people who are not members of their church, one church I didn't belong to helped me pay my rent a few years ago, so I know they can do it. Just don't give up and keep at it. Also, the mental health clinics tend to have a list of resources available for people who need help, they may know of some services you could call, might call them too. Domestic Violence offers services to people getting out of abusive relationships too. Just keep calling and I know you will find some help somewhere. Hang in there. Take care.

Karen - I hope things are going better for you today. Hang in there.

Debbie - glad you are drinking something at least, but still think you need to go to the doctor.

Mommy - hope you had some luck with the calls you were going to make.

Roy - sounds like you had a good meeting, but most of your meetings sound like they are good and a really good resource for you. You are a smart guy for hanging on to them.

Allen - hope you are doing well.

Bettyboo - welcome to the thread. Hope things are going well for you.

Take care and have a good day everyone.
