HEY! I know everyone else has a "happy christmas" thread going, but I want to say it to all the people who have helped me out over this year in this spot.

I always know I can come in and rant and rave and never get mocked for it, but get good advice from it. So thank you all and I pray that next year will be better, and if ya'll need me, I'll be here just like when I needed help drinker

Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a really bright new year. I appreciate the friends I have made on the site, and have gotten to know many of you closer than most. I just wanted to say thank you for being so supportive and such good people/friends.

My wish for everyone is for a brighter happier new year and that your wishes and dreams come true. (I know, sounds like a Disney movie, but I got sappy for a minute, sorry.bigsmile)

Merry Christmas.

Okay, I usually don't stop down here to post, but so far my Christmas morning stinks. My older daughter isn't coming home to spend the holiday here, money is tight and I couldn't get much for my other daughter. She is 15 and is going away for New Years, for the first time. Her friend just called her up and asked if she can come out and pick her up and they hang out until noon, just in time for her to go to her boyfriend's house for brunch. Right after that we have to leave for my parent's house. This means no Christmas morning for me, no spending time on the holiday with my girls. I don't even want to have a celebration now, I have nothing here to celebrate.

If I knew she was going to pull this crap I would have gone into work, at least I would have been making double-time and a half for not having Christmas.

Happy Everything Is Closed Day. Thought I could at least get some eggnog. Went to tell my 71 year mom about the hard 10 hour night I had and she told to tell her about it after she just got done working 16 hours in a row. I couldn't believe it. Even Walmart was closed. Big ol' moon out last night.

Good idea Thunder - do you think that pony in front of Wal-Mart can get us out of town for the day and find us some fun??? Sorry you had to work, but I wish I was working myself. Miss the grandbabies.

Eileen - sorry your daughter did that, but she is a teenager now and they do tend to think about themselves, as Thunder said. Try to make the best of the rest of the day. Money has been tight for everyone I think. My grandkids got presents thanks to the gift shop at work (but paycheck is taking a hit this Friday - payroll deduction) - but at least they got some gifts from me.

I hope everyone has a great day. I have to get ready to go to lunch at the nursing home with my dad. Just called the kids and no one answered the phone, as usual, so guess I won't get to talk to the grandkids until later or they decide to answer their "freakin" phone.

Merry Christmas and make the best of day you can. Take care.
