I have never posted something personal like this before, but I have to get some things off my chest. My mother died when I was one and I got seperated from 4 brothers and my big sister. All my life I wanted to know how she died but no one would tell me. Not my dad, or anyone. I had to live with the new woman he married, my stepmother and she had two daughters--my stepsisters. It wasn't until last year that I met one of my brothers and he finally told me what happened to my mom. I grew so attached to my brother because the only place I saw him was at school before I graduated. Now I don't see him at all, but I hear my other brothers want to get in touch with me. I'm kind of scared to talk to them though, what if they disappear from me and fade into the background of my life like before? I heard that I'm an aunt, and I'm scared about that, because I want to be a good example. Someone help me!

Well you could try to talk to your brothers over the phone first and see how it goes. You never know, it may work out for the best. If you dont try, then you may always wonder what could have come out of it. You seem like you are a genuine good person to me so why worry about being a good example. Your childhood is not your fault. You have grown up to be a caring adult. Whatever you choose to do...best wishes for you!

i would talk to him. you only have one life and enjoy it.we meet people on the street ever day and say hi.this is family never say no to family some day they will not be in are lives and then we sit back and wonder should i have done this or that. just do it.
