This is why I hate being a guy on a dating website. It automatically means that you're fighting to prove that you're not like the majority of the rest of the guys on these sites who can be creeps and just flat out weirdos. But I've learned to just give up on fighting the notion and now I just believe that if you're truly a good person, it will come through. Sadly, there are enough girls out there who are gullible and can be seduced by these creeps. Otherwise, they wouldn't continue trying. how is that any different from being a guy in general? ..it's not lol |

bare in mind my dear, there are genuine people on here that are true to their word and want a relationship, the problem i'm finding is that there are too many of you people on here just wanting friends, this is what myspace is for. another thought is maybe you caught their eye on something in your profile that compelled them to IM you. give people a break, thats why this site isn't exclusive, and thats why its free, if you don't want creeps IMing you try a pay site, you got to take the good with the bad when dealing with a free website.

get rid of IMs, go to Settings and deactivate IM service, that would help
 I believe you would find great people by just sending mails, I would say there are some here who are worth your attention. But the next time you get people who pressure you tell them to back off! |

sorry one more thought, thats why you can ignore them when they IM you. also, there are alot of people that talk to someone for a long time, and get really close, and then when you do finally get to the point were they are ordering the plane ticket, they try at the last second to get you to send them 600 dollars, so either way you go, not even the people that want to talk for awhile before meeting, can be trusted, it happened to me and it sucks cause i took alot of time off to spend it with that person before i found out i was trying to be scammed. it sucks but not everyone out there wants to do that.

I've been talking to a guy from here for 6 months now and we are really that close, he sent me something for my bday and he's planning to see me by next year

my suggestion to anyone on here, who plans on meeting someone online is to get as much info on them as possible, i was scammed and several times, so it a matter of investigating someone especially if you really are serious about this
|

Uhmmm... get all family members' contact numbers and complete addresses pay for public record details online check for any credit card accounts  if you trust someone you meet online then you would get the same as long as you have the right intentions goodluck to everyone

well at least they do stop really creepy would be if they did not stop. Got that right! I'm on another site where this guy keeps sending me a picture of his nekkid butt. There's no way to block him on that site - I'm seriously considering just dropping from that dating site! :-P |
