The card "North Node" I drew from my new oracle deck got me intrigued and wanting to know more about the North Node and how to work with it.

North node basically about your destiny, your potential, South Node about stuff from past lives that still affects you, and or lessons learnt. But when insecure or unstable in North Node, you automatically slip back in the familiar South Node qualities, which isn't really the idea as you are to learn the North Node qualities this life.
That is the very abridged version, hope I'm explaining it in a way that makes sense.

In any case, I asked some questions on it elsewhere, someone pointed out a book on it, and I found a video clip on YouTube on my specific North & South Node axis.
And holy cow!!! It basically answers ALL the questions I still have as to why certain things work the way they work, or don't work, why I have such great difficulty with specific things, and so on.
It was scarily accurate, and amazingly clarifying.

I checked out that book, "Astrology for the Soul" by Jan Spiller, which is in depth for each North Node concerning a whole lot of aspects.
I'm considering buying it.
I had NO idea the North & South Nodes were THAT important and could tell so much!!


If you feel you could do with more insight in self and answers to questions you cannot seem to get clear... check your N & S Nodes!

Very cool, very accurate... and explains a lot! It's definitely something I want to explore more of. I was surprised to find out what my North/South nodes are, but it makes sense after reading about it.

I am going to buy that book :) Always nice to have good reference books. I bought my book on combined Western & Eastern astrology some 32 yrs ago. Still handy at times :)
I got another one that's horribly sarcastic and funny, but the astrologer who wrote it knows her stuff. It's got tables in it to look up Venus, Moon, Mars and so on, and then in depth info on these aspects.
I've used that SO often!

In any case, to know and understand your personal N & S Node axis is incredibly helpful!

I got my book "Astrology for the Soul" in yesterday, which is solely on the North-South Nodes. I've read most of mine and I got to say it is quite intense, but very accurate. Scarily accurate.
Some things I do not recognise, other things I see I've already learned it or acknowledged I have/do it -and the result of that not being good for me-, some things are new eye-openers.
Great tips on what to focus on to help me get on my path.

What I do find interesting is that the same N & S node occur approx. every 19 yrs and it stays in that axis for 1 yr or 1,5 yrs. Meaning every 19 years you get a wave of people with generally the same issues of what they should learn and let go of.
Isn't that typical?
Also, because the nodes axes is in place for so long, all my long term partners have the same axis. I was hoping to find a partner in that age range, which would mean another man with that axis. They all had mommie or daddie issues. Not sure if that is always the case with that axis of course.

My North Node is in Virgo and my South node is in Pisces. As you say, quite accurate .

Philosophically and spiritually, I'm a Taoist but I have studied most spiritual paths, although it was over the course of the last forty years, so no in depth quizzes please, at least not without some time to prepare .

Do you perhaps also take an interest in culture/history?
For me this came up when I started learning about Wicca and witchcraft, paganism. That quickly led me to Celts, fascinating!! And England, England's history. Avalon, druids, Celts, and of course Romans. The history of paganism and thus also spirituality, goes hand in hand with all that.
I know more of English history than Dutch, hihi. Only thing is I can never remember it chronologically.
But yesterday searched for something, wanting to know who lived in the UK before the Saxons. Turns out the very first people in the UK were hunter-gatherers from the Middle-East?!?! Black skin and hair. Now I never knew that! Amazing to find out.
After that came farmers from what is now Turkey. Still dark but much lighter than the previous hunter-gatherers.

I will shaddup now. I can get carried away with stuff like that, haha.

People with my node axis have been dependent on others in past lives to provide for them. Like a symbiotic relationship, not just in love. But always sacrificing themselves, who they truly are and what they truly need, for someone else. Always being Nr 2 behind the Nr1. That includes a queen, a courtesan, an assistant to a chief or whatever. But never being nr 1 themselves.
So they never learnt to provide for themselves, which is what my node has to do and learn this life.
Meaning whenever I go back to this innate tendency to be Nr 2 behind someone else, things fail for me, which further undermines my self-esteem.

Now one of these things I had been wondering about for years on end was this: am I supposed to be the leader, the one in the spotlight OR the one behind that person?
Go figure. I guess it intuitively seeped through haha.
I tend to be behind someone, less scary. But I have indeed learnt this doesn't ever work out, nor does it fulfil me.
It makes me miserable as bleep.

So my purpose is to find out what my values are, have healthy boundaries, and NOT be dependent.

Yes for me also, it also started with a love of history and this naturally led to a study of philosophy and the spiritual path in any number of world traditions.
