I told her from the beginning that although its been about 4 years of separation from a 15 yr relationship and 5 kids. I knew old habits and ways are hard to die. So I expected her to compare or make comments and even the violence and abuse. I can tell you over 2 years later and 1 kid. She not only compared me to him she molded our lives and family into that old relationship. We tend to forget that no matter how much we move on. We tend to take our failed relationships and experiences with us. A fresh breathe of air yet we can't help but expect at same reactions and ways with the one we hope is nothing like that last.
