It's a sad thing but race has to do with alot in today's society. There was this guy that found out i was Greek and stopped dating me. Wanna know the reason? Becuase his family would never accept me (Italian) and My Family would be hard to handle becuase they are Greek. I know we are a little dramatic sometimes but who isnt? lol. Oh well. Ha, that's generalization at work. If he wasn't going to look past his preconceived notions to get to know about you and your family he wasn't worth your time.  Sorry for your bad experience. |

On all those questionnaires that ask your race I usually tick the other box and pencil in the word "Human"
As people have said before it is a personal preference. I was raised in an all white community, with some here having very strong negative feelings about others of another race. That for me is what made me question why? what is different? As I grew and traveled the world I realized there is no difference and some people are just small minded. |

My parents are in their 80's. They don't believe in mixing races. If I were attracted to a guy who wasn't "white", I would not act on it because of them. After they pass on, it's my choice. I can't see getting them upset for something I see as a non issue, but, it is definetly an issue for them. To me, the person you are is what matters. It's a conflict for me for now.

There's nothing wrong with dating a white man, and this is coming from a black man. If they treat you good go ahead and enjoy life,now thats my opinion.

I think our souls are drawn to other souls. We are put into each others lives to either teach or to learn. However we cannot help who we are attracted to. That doesn't always mean it is a racial issue. For those that do have an issue with race, too bad for them. I hope they grow and learn from the people that are put in their lives.

I agree we are in others lives for a reason sometimes having the whole race issue really can open our eyes what really hasn't ceased in america and will not.
