A General was visiting the troops at the battlefront. As he walked along the battle line inspecting the soldiers, a bullet whistled overhead. "What the devil was that?" he roared.
"It's an enemy sniper, Sir. He's been shooting at us for about two weeks. We know exactly where he is."
"Well, then why the hell don't you get someone and knock him out?"
"Sir, if we did that, they might replace him with someone who could shoot straight.

Real incident, few years ago ...

There was this guy on the other side of the border who turned up regularly late mornings, sit on a boulder after dropping his pants, then make lewd gestures to our guys at the post.

A higher up came to know and a shooter was arranged the next day. The first bullet fired hit the rock right between his sprawled legs. The guy froze. The next two shots went slightly higher chipping away the rock. After the firing stopped, the guy hopped away; was never seen again.
